What We Collect

YourLight collects the minimum data needed to connect you with friends:

• Account info — name, email, and password (via Supabase Auth)
• Status data — emoji, context, location, time, and audience preferences you choose to share
• Social graph — your friend connections and circles
• Guest phone numbers — if you join via a share link and opt in to SMS updates
• Device info — push notification tokens for delivering notifications

How We Use It

• Show your status to friends you choose
• Send push notifications about status updates, joins, and comments
• Send SMS to guests who opt in (e.g., if a host changes plans)
• Improve app functionality and fix bugs

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your data to third parties or affiliates.
• We do not use your data for advertising.
• We do not share your phone number or email with other users.
• We do not send marketing or promotional messages.
• We do not share SMS opt-in data or phone numbers with third parties for marketing purposes.

SMS Notifications

If you provide your phone number on a share page and check the consent box, you agree to receive transactional SMS messages about that specific status (e.g., time changes, cancellations). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for support. We will not send promotional or marketing messages.

We will not share, sell, or transfer your opt-in consent or phone number to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchase or use of the app.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use row-level security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own data. All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. This will remove your profile, statuses, and associated data.
